My name is Jessica Delgado. While most of my work has been in the area of web design, I am also skilled in graphic and logo design. Currently, I work full time as a front-end web designer for a local company here in the panhandle of Florida. Periodically I also do freelance design work in my spare time. My responsibilities in my current position include web design, graphic design, and basic back-end web development tasks.
I finished my degree in Web Design at The International Academy of Design and Technology in February 2010. I have a passion for beautiful design, well-kerned typography; and simple, elegant, standards-compliant, hand-written code. As a result, I am knowledgeable in HTML/XHTML, CSS, jQuery, Javascript, ColdFusion, PHP, and SQL. I have also recently been learning C# and familiarizing myself with the updates being proposed in HTML5 and CSS3.
I am skilled with field related programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and InDesign. Also, I have done quite a bit of work with the Wordpress CMS, as well as basic work with the Joomla CMS and with custom Tumblr layouts. I am familiar with MVC architecture and have designed several sites within the CakePHP framework. Currently, I am working on project a in the ASP.NET MVC framework as well.
